Do you dread Monday mornings just because of your work? Have you been stressed out and frustrated over how little time you get to yourself, because of the insane amount of work pressure on your shoulders? Chances are high that you’re highly burnt out at your workplace. Feeling stressed and having frequent headaches are some of the signs of being severely burnt out. This can be due to extreme work pressure or the fact that your job is no longer tending to your professional growth and needs. So, if you’re not at a point where you can change your job, then these ways to tackle being burnt out at your workplace will surely help you.

Take a vacation ASAP

Align your schedule, speak to your manager and book a trip to someplace that will help you relax. Taking a vacation becomes very important especially if you’re burnt out from your work pressure. And don’t hesitate to take an entire week off, if you need it. Explain to your manager why you need it for your mental well-being.

Look for a form of release

Experts suggest finding a form of release for your frustration and angry emotions is a great way to deal with work burn-out. You can take your favourite hobby classes, such as culinary, yoga, martial arts, guitar classes etc.; anything that interests you can be a great option to release all that aggression.

Look for different work responsibilities

If you’re pretty bored out with your current work and find that there’s no area of growth listed for you, then have a discussion with your manager requesting a position change or responsibility change.

Find ways to make your work more interesting. Ask your colleagues to weigh in on ways in which you can do a project more creatively, helping you to move out of your comfort zone. When you’re faced with a challenge, your work automatically becomes more interesting.
