Importance of genuine friends

Genuine friends are a priceless part of life and truly a blessing in disguise. They stand by you not just in moments of joy but also during challenges, offering support, honesty, and unconditional care. However, not all who pretend to be our friend are genuinely so. Some may talk sweet to us, but sabotage or badmouth us behind our backs. So, how would one know if someone is a genuine or fake friend? Here we list three clear signs of true friends, as revealed by popular spiritual leader Gauranga Das on social media recently.

Sign 1: They help you in time of need

"They might not talk to you everyday but when they know you are in a problem, they check on you constantly," Gauranga Das said in the video, talking about the number one sign of a genuine friend. And rightly, so! After all, it is truly said: a friend in need, is a friend indeed.

Sign 2: They remember the smallest of details about you

From what you like to what you dislike, genuine friends know everything about you, shared Gauranga Das. "They won't show, but they will notice everything," he said. When someone remembers little details about you and your conversation with them, it shows their genuine interest in you.

Sign 3: They are honest with you

"They point out your mistakes as much as they appreciate you. You will hate your friends for being so honest, but you also know that they talk out of genuine concern," he explained. Genuine friends help us grow into the best versions of ourselves, and they do so by being honest with us and telling us our mistakes.
