Signs married couple should look out for to save their relationship

A marriage requires constant efforts, adjustments, nurturing and dedication from both the partners to make it work. And it is surely no mean feat. Every couple faces issues and life is not as rosy as we imagine it to be after getting hitched. But sometimes, we tend to realise things when the damage is done and it is too late to fix the broken relationship. Sometimes there are telltale signs that the relationship is heading towards a closure and if couples get an idea of these, maybe they can mend their ways. So, here are a few warning signs to look out for and save your relationship before the damages are beyond repair…

2/6

Fighting

Every married couple fights. But if you keep on having arguments on the same topics and have started playing blame games, then your marriage could be heading towards deep trouble. Your quarrels are becoming painful and you no longer have healthy arguments. You bicker over every small thing, and your issues seem to be only growing bigger. Basically, your arguments are no longer productive and in turn, your relationship is not moving forward.

3/6

Communication

Either one or both of you don’t feel like sharing the details of your daily life or holding meaningful conversations. You don’t remember when you both whispered sweet nothings to each other. In fact, one or both of you feel like sharing your problems with someone else rather than your better half. This lack of communication could be a sign of growing emotional disconnect.

4/6

Intimacy

There is a growing dissatisfaction in your sex life owing to lack of physical attraction. When the relationship started, you both could hardly keep your hands off each other. But with time, the charm is fading and none of you want to bring the spark back. Your sex life is turning non-existent and the intimacy that you shared once is now diminishing.

5/6

A change in behaviour

There is a growing contempt and resentment towards one another. Both criticise each other whenever anything goes wrong. You have grown out of love and do not feel the same comfort level. In fact, you both might now want different things from life and have nothing left in common.

6/6

Trust and honesty

Mutual trust and honestly lay the foundation of any relationship. And if once shaken, it is quite difficult to bounce back to the normal state. If you have started having doubts about your partner’s loyalty or have witnessed betrayal, your marriage might have developed some cracks. Other sign could be that either one of both of you have started to withhold or hide information from each other just for the sake of avoiding another argument.
