Take the cat near the litter box, shortly after she has had her meal. “Your cat needs to understand what the litter box is for. In a matter of weeks, you will notice how your cat will directly go to the box to finish her business, without even being asked to do so,” says Komal Vivek Raul, a veterinarian.Rewarding the catIt is important to reward your feline baby, every time she obeys you. Give her a small treat or play with her, to keep her enthusiasm level high. Make her believe that she has done a good job, and show a sense of belonging. Cats respond well to praise, and such reinforcements will help you to train them perfectly.Training them to enter and exit your homeMost of the cats like to go outdoors, because they have hunting instincts. Allow them to go outside, but ensure that you show them how they must enter or exit your house. “Teach them to scratch the door, when they come and go. Demonstrate and show it to them over and over again, before they finally get it,” adds Bangera.Respect Your catIf you’re a cat owner, you probably know that it is necessary to treat your cat with respect. Don’t force or order her to do anything. Be playful, and treat them to something they love, once in a while. It is only this way, that they will listen to you.
