On Wednesday (Dec. 4), US President-elect Donald Trump picked yet another former Fox employee, Monica Crowley, as the Ambassador, Assistant Secretary of State, and Chief of Protocol for the nation.

"Monica will be the Administration Representative for major US hosted events, including America's 250th Birthday in 2026, the FIFA World Cup in 2026, and the Olympic Games in Los Angeles in 2028. She will be an extraordinary Representative of our Country. Congratulations Monica!" Trump said in a statement.

In an Instagram note, Monica Crowley expressed that she is ‘deeply humbled’ to be nominated by Trump. “I am deeply humbled to be nominated by President Donald J. Trump @realdonaldtrump to serve as Ambassador, Assistant Secretary of State and Chief of Protocol of the United States of America. It was the honor of my life to serve in his first administration - and it will be an even greater honor to represent America in his second. I am deeply grateful to the President for this extraordinary opportunity to help Make America Great Again, Again.”

Who is Monica Crowley?

Born in Arizona, Monica Crowley is The New York Times best-selling author. She has a dual Master's degree from Colgate University. Crowley also has a doctorate in International Relations from Columbia University. She was accused of plagiarism during this time. She criticized the plagiarism accusations as a ‘political hit job’, however, she later revised parts of her dissertation. She has served as assistant secretary of the Treasury for public affairs during Donald Trump’s first term in office. For her exceptional service, she received the Alexander Hamilton Award, the highest honor bestowed by the Department. A high-profile TV and radio personality, Monica Crowley is a host on the Fox News channel and is also a political and foreign affairs analyst. She also has bylines at the New York Post, The New Yorker, The Washington Times, The Wall Street Journal, the Los Angeles Times, and the Baltimore Sun.

Family and love life

Monic Crowley has a sister Jocelyn Crowley. Though Monica Crowley is not married, she is reportedly in a relationship with venture capitalist Bill Siegel. They have been photographed together several times.
