Let's take a look at these

While it's not possible to control how others behave towards you, there are certain behaviours that can influence how others perceive and interact with you. It may be upsetting and unpleasant to encounter disrespectful behaviour from others. If you have been disrespected, you may be unsure how to respond—or whether you should reply at all. Take some time to reflect on what happened and determine if the other person truly wanted to be rude. Here are six behaviours that can help foster respect in your interactions with others:

2/7

Set clear boundaries

Clearly define and communicate your personal boundaries and expectations. This includes what you consider acceptable and unacceptable behaviour from others. When you assert your boundaries respectfully and consistently, people are more likely to respect them.

3/7

Practice assertiveness

Be confident and assertive in expressing your thoughts, opinions, and needs while considering the feelings and perspectives of others. Clear communication and standing up for yourself in a respectful manner can discourage others from disrespecting you.

4/7

Maintain self-respect

Treat yourself with kindness, dignity, and respect. When you value and respect yourself, others are more likely to mirror that behaviour. Avoid compromising your values or engaging in behaviours that undermine your self-worth.

5/7

Practise active listening

Give others your full attention when they speak, show genuine interest, and listen without interrupting. By actively listening and engaging in meaningful conversations, you convey respect for others' perspectives and encourage them to reciprocate.

6/7

Be mindful of how you communication

Pay attention to your body language, tone of voice, and facial expressions. Maintain good eye contact, use open and welcoming body language, and speak in a respectful tone. Non-verbal cues can greatly influence how others perceive and respond to you.

7/7

Treat others with respect

Lead by example and treat others with respect and kindness, regardless of their position or background. Show empathy, practise active empathy, and avoid engaging in disrespectful or harmful behaviour towards others. By treating others with respect, you set a positive example and encourage reciprocal respect.

Haters are everywhere! You can't change them. You can't collaborate with their negativity. Don't even try. Everyone is on their own journey. Avoid them like the plague. Don't ignore it. Call it out! Make it as uncomfortable for them as they made it for you. Try to stay classy lol, but don't let them get away with it. They have to figure out how to fix their own rotten personality.
