We have read about unconditional love or watched movies about it that made us dream of a day when we will fall in love with someone without any condition. The term ‘unconditional love’ itself is self-explanatory—a love that has no condition; perhaps it is the most selfless and purest of love and these exactly are the reasons why people often criticize unconditional love as unreal. However, we do not want to get into the debate on whether unconditional love is real or not. What we want to tell our readers is how they can identify unconditional love if they come across it. So, here are five signs of the purest and most beautiful of love that a person would ever experience.

Do you fight with your partner over which flavour of ice-cream to choose for dessert? While he would tease you and playfully fight to make you choose his favourite flavour, but at last he would eventually give in to your demand to make you happy. This is just a simple example of how a person tries putting your needs over his. If you often find your partner doing the same for you, consider yourself one lucky person.

This is one of the biggest tell-tale signs and the most beautiful thing about unconditional love—your partner never expects anything in return. A person who loves you unconditionally would try to make you happy through small gestures like sending you flowers with a note or bringing home your favourite pastry while returning from office. It is said that a person cannot forgive another if he doesn’t love her truly. Forgiveness is a sign of selfless and true love. A person who loves you unconditionally would forgive your mistakes; although he might be a little offended at first but the love he has for you will make him forgive and forget everything eventually.
