Robert F Kennedy Jr's romantic history: From over 40 'mistresses', three marriages to alleged relationships

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., President Donald Trump's choice of Health and Human Services Secretary, has been distancing himself from his anti-vaccine work, as he is set to head the nation's health agency. RFK Jr., who comes from a long line of acclaimed politicians has been in the spotlight constantly, both for his political endeavors and his highly publicized personal life.

With three marriages and over 40 ‘mistresses’, RFK Jr.’s personal life is as controversial as his public life.

A scion of a famous Democratic dynasty, Kennedy is born to Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy, the brother of President John F. Kennedy. RFK Jr. has a reputation of his own as an activist, author, and lawyer who fought for environmental causes such as clean water.

Robert F Kennedy married Emily Ruth Black in 1982. They met at the University of Virginia School of Law. The marriage didn't last for long, and they separated in 1992. The former couple has two kids - Robert Francis 'Bobby' Kennedy III and Kathleen “Kick” Alexandra Kennedy.

After his divorce, in 1994, he married Mary Kathleen Richardson. They have four children together. Conor, Kyra, William, and Aidan. RFK Jr., however, called it quits in 2010. Sadly, Richardson died by suicide in 2012.


In 2014, Robert F Kennedy Jr, exchanged wedding vows with actress Cheryl Hines. The couple's marriage is allegedly on the rocks. Hines was spotted without her wedding ring in Sep. 2024. Cheryl Hines, has a daughter with her former husband.

RFK Jr., was recently rumoured to be in a relationship with New York Magazine correspondent Olivia Nuzzi.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s dating life has always been in the public eye. In 2011, his late second wife mentioned that he had multiple contacts on his phone saved under the alphabet 'G', which she mentioned meant 'goomar', an Italian term for mistress. She had also revealed that RFK Jr. had a lady in practically every major city. RFK Jr.'s team however hasn't responded to the alleged 'mistress' list or any other allegation raised by his late second wife.
