Behind palace walls, the fallout from Prince Andrew’s ties to Jeffrey Epstein is no longer just a public scandal, it has become a deeply personal rupture. Princess Eugenie has reportedly severed contact with her father, drawing a firm line after months of renewed scrutiny and criticism over his refusal to apologise to Epstein’s victims.
According to The Mail on Sunday, Eugenie, 35, has cut off all communication with Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, who was stripped of his royal titles in October over his links to the paedophile financier. The paper reports that Andrew is “devastated” by the estrangement, which followed a fresh wave of damaging revelations last year about his relationship with Epstein.

Sources told the outlet that Eugenie is refusing to speak to her father and did not visit him at Christmas. Her stance is said to be influenced by both the continuing scandal and Andrew’s failure to publicly apologise to Epstein’s victims, an issue that carries particular weight given Eugenie’s work as co-founder of The Anti-Slavery Collective, which campaigns against sex trafficking.
A source described the rift in stark terms: “There is no contact at all, nothing. It’s Brooklyn Beckham level, she has completely cut him off,” the source told The Mail on Sunday.
While Eugenie has reportedly drawn a hard boundary, her older sister, Princess Beatrice, is said to be handling the situation differently. Sources told The Mail on Sunday that Beatrice is attempting to maintain some contact with her father while also protecting her standing within the Royal Family.
Beatrice invited Andrew to the christening of her 11-month-old daughter, Athena, in London last month. However, he did not attend a party held afterwards at a local pub. It remains unclear whether Eugenie spoke to her father at the christening.
“Beatrice is trying to walk the fine line of not cutting her father off and yet remaining close with the Royal Family,” a source said. “They aren't exactly in regular and close contact at the moment, but Eugenie isn't trying to walk that line. She's not speaking to him.”
The reported breakdown with Eugenie adds to Andrew’s mounting difficulties as he prepares to leave Royal Lodge, his home on the Windsor Estate for the past two decades. A removals van was seen at the property last week as he began sorting through years of belongings. According to The Mail on Sunday, Andrew is expected to move to a temporary property on the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk in the coming weeks, before relocating to his new home, Marsh Farm, around Easter.
