Ohio governor candidate Vivek Ramaswamy shares a family moment, says he is 'grateful'

Amidst his announcement to run for governor of Ohio in 2026, Vivek Ramaswamy has now shared a heartwarming picture with his family. On Mar. 8, the entrepreneur and former Republican presidential candidate shared a picture with his wife, Dr. Apoorva Tewari, and their two children, Karthik and Arjun on X. He captioned the photo, “Grateful for every day.” His elder child can be seen holding a journal with his pictures and writings.

Born to Keralite parents in the US, Ramaswamy earned his bachelor's in biology from Harvard in 2007. He met his wife Dr. Apoorva Tewari, a Yale-educated medical doctor at a voter gathering in Iowa. They got married in 2015.

Ramaswamy gained national attention during his 2024 presidential bid. In Nov. 2024, November 12, Trump announced Musk and Ramaswamy to lead the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), a cost-cutting task force. However, Ramaswamy quit DOGE, after Trump took charge.

Meanwhile, Ramaswamy while announcing his 2026 bid for Ohio governor on Monday said, “Today, I am honored to announce that I am running to be the next governor of a great state at the heart of the greatest nation known to mankind – the state where I was born and raised, the state where Apoorva and I raise our two sons today – a state whose best days are still ahead,” Ramaswamy said at a rally in Cincinnati.”
