Never in a million years had I thought about my wife secretly cheating on me. I thought I knew her. I married a woman who’s faithful, jolly and very loyal to me. She’s a natural; everyone loves her. Everyone admires her for her beauty, personality and resilience. But I guess, her being too friendly with everyone got me into trouble. I can’t deny, I hate it when my wife is busy tending to other people. She is always so busy that she hardly has any time for me. And the little moments when we are together, she seems really distracted. But little did I know, she was fancying someone else
I was completely oblivious to the fact that my wife and my best friend were seeing each other. One night after an exhausting day, we got into bed quickly. My wife soon fell asleep but I was awake since a lot was going on in my mind about some work projects. Suddenly, my wife started whispering. She was asleep, so seeing her sleeptalk was very cute. Suddenly, she started moaning. Her eyebrows scrunched up a little and she kept moaning. But next, she screamed out loud, “Aman!” I was shocked! Aman is my best friend and we have been the best buddies since college. She was having a dream about having sex with my best friend. I was stunned, angry, heartbroken and annoyed. How can she even do this?
After a while, she settled in quietly, fast asleep. Whereas, I couldn’t sleep. And so, I decided to piece the puzzles together. Upon gazing at the matter, I realised many instances where my wife and my best friend could be found guilty. Whenever my wife was unreachable at work, I called Aman to check whether he was available to discuss some matters. He would be busy too. It seemed too much of a coincidence. So, I followed my wife to work one random day. It was the only way to know the truth, besides confronting her with that night’s incident. My suspicions were right. My wife met up with Aman and then they both drove off.
This happened a few times after that as well. I haven’t confronted her about all of this. I am afraid if I do, she will tell me the truth and find this as an excuse to leave me for someone else. I don’t want to lose her but I don’t want to share her with another man as well, let alone my best friend. I am repulsed by the idea of being friends with him. I have no idea what I am going to do, but living with this lie is getting unbearable by the second.
