How to revive the spark in your marriage

1/7

Make it work!

It happens and it is normal! Losing that spark in a marriage after a while is a common experience because you tend to get used to each other which makes it “ghar ki murgi dal barabar”. This is why you have to keep working on your marriage, keep trying different things to keep it alive and fun. So to remedy that, we bring to you a few ways that can help you revive that missing spark that you initially had in your marriage.

2/7

Try new things under the sheets

Sometimes, when the sex gets restricted to missionary, you start getting bored as if you are in a routine of sorts. Work on that! We are all privy to the world of KamaSutra, so much information on the internet, sex toys… go for it! Why are you wasting your time? Play those games, check out what all you can do and stop mulling over what’s gone! Try something new.

3/7

Travel together

Travelling together never fails and that too to new places each time. It is impossible that you have seen the entire world so make those trips, carry your camera, pack light, and go! It will give you so much to do together.

4/7

Go back to how it began

Initially you both used to do crazy things together when it was all new right? Do that again. Revisit those activities, habits and remember the effort you both used to put in earlier. Think why it stopped, work on that if you can. It will make a lot of difference.

5/7

Controlling emotions

It is possible that the constant nagging and arguments lead to the dry marriage. So try to bring a change in that. Practice controlling all that negativity. See the positive things in your marriage. Your partner will notice that and perhaps he/ she too will take a step forward and meet you mid way in reviving that spark.

6/7

Go out together

Revive that dating pattern. Try the cafe hopping you never did or used to do, all over again. Go on dates, plan activities together. Surprise each other, celebrate without reasons. Be gentle to each other. These small things often fix broken relationships.

7/7

Communicate

Miscommunication or no communication can end any relationship. You may have lost that spark due to no communication after getting frustrated with each other. Don’t do that. Work on it. Seek therapy if you can. Tell each other your problems and find a way. Don’t let it go for nothing.
