Hearts and roses with lover penguins

This engaging picture is filled with red and pink roses with gray penguins luring on the farm. You will notice one pair of penguins exchanging roses, however, some penguins are roaming around alone in this pink and red rose farm. However, in this camouflage mess, you have to spot three small hidden hearts for your lover. They are placed somewhere inside the picture but are only visible to people with hawk eyes.

Look closely and you will find all three dispersed

If you are not able to find the three hearts then fear not we are at your aid. You will be able to find the three hearts placed amongst the flowers. The first one is at the upper left corner and replaces a rose’s leaf with a heart. The second one is placed at the bottom center and is drawn inside a pink rose, whereas the third one is drawn inside a rose but this time it is a red rose placed at the top right.

Is camouflage an optical illusion?

There are various types of optical illusions ranging from mirages to camouflage. Camouflage mainly refers to objects that are either two-dimensional or three-dimensional and always blend into one another. In the early days hunters and warriors usually used this illusion method to hide from their enemy or at times to catch their prey. However, a mirage is when a deceptive appearance of objects is caused by refraction and is seen in layers of air of varying densities which devices our eyes.

Does an optical illusion change colour?

A colour saturation optical illusion is when the object changes colour as it slowly moves through different backgrounds but it just remains the same color throughout. This also occurs because our brain perceives the colour of the object to change when the environment changes. However, every colour that we see is fitted inside our head and the stimulus of colour and course is its light. As the light pours down from the sun or any lightbulb in our home, the surface absorbs the wavelengths of light and thus reflects others.

Fascinating history of optical illusions

Optical illusions mainly date back to ancient Greece as the Greeks used optical illusions in their art and architecture. It was primarily found in Greek rooftops such as temples which were built with a slant and observers thought that the rooftops were curved in nature. One of the oldest known illusions was related by Aristotle which was more than 2,000 years ago.

Are optical illusions fake or real?

Scientists believe that optical illusions are real because our brains are great at recognizing patterns and observing familiar objects that are instilled in our knowledge. Our brains also work quickly to create a whole image from separate pieces of information. People creating these clever illusions usually trick our eyes and brains into witnessing what is not present, but indeed it feels to be real at times.
