From cooking to attending a virtual class together: NCR couples’ V-Day plan

For several NCR couples, this Valentine’s Day is about spending quality time with their partner at home. While some have asked home chefs to prepare a sumptuous meal for two, others attended a virtual cooking class to surprise their bae with a romantic meal today.

Cooking for your bae

One can always go out and dine at a fancy restaurant for the occasion, but there are several couples who believe in adding a personal touch by cooking a meal for their partner on V-Day. Shefali Goyal, a consultant and a resident of Sector 77, Noida, tells us that she attended a Mexican cooking class yesterday. “I took the class online and I’m planning to cook those delicacies today. I plan to include my husband in this, so that we can cook together. We both love Mexican food and since we don’t want to step out for Valentine’s Day, I decided to take up this class,” she says.

Online cooking workshops for couples

Surabhi Bhandari, who is organising one such cooking class, shares that since the class is online, people from various parts of the country are going to join in. “This is a simple ‘cook along’ online class. I will not have more than 15 participants for that class so that I can give equal attention to everyone. I have already given a list of ingredients and things that we will need so that everything goes smoothly,” she says.

Home chefs get orders for meals for two for V-Day

While home chefs across NCR receive a lot of bulk orders for parties, this year, they have received orders from several couples to prepare a meal for two on Valentine’s Day.

Tweaked menus, reduced portions

“I’ve a few orders for Valentine’s Day. I have tweaked the menu a bit and will be reducing the portions since most orders are only for two people. Since it is Valentine’s Day, we also plan to send them roses with our food delivery,” shares Gurgaon-based home chef Amita Garg.
