Interesting facts about dreams you had no clue about

There is a lot about dreams that you could ever imagine. They are not just about the much talked about past life, prior experiences and anxiety. Did you know that even your food influences the kind of dreams you have? Scroll down to know more such fun facts about dreaming.

2/7

The mundane dreams

The dreams that you get during the first 3-4 hours of sleep may seem more mundane and what you end up remembering are the ones that appear in the second half of your sleep cycle.

3/7

Spicy food means nightmares

It is said that if the last meal that you had was spicy, you are more likely to wake up in the middle of the night due to a nightmare. Also, you will probably remember most of your dream in addition to being awake for a few minutes in the middle of it as only then can you recall a dream.

4/7

You can change bad dreams

According to many therapists, you can rewrite your bad dreams. Those who suffer from issues like post-traumatic stress disorder, can easily train themselves to see the nightmares and remember that it is just a dream by associating it with objects or accessories they are wearing at the time of sleeping. If the dream is too bizarre, the direction of the dream can be shifted with therapy and training.

5/7

The faces you see in your dreams are known

Minds cannot invent faces especially in the dream. When you see faces, they are those of real people. They may not be of people we recently met but could be of anyone you met in your lifetime.

6/7

You can have more than 4 dreams in one night

On an average, you can see more than 4 and up to 7 dreams in one night. You may not remember them all because it depends on the sleep cycle and other factors like waking up to an alarm. You generally end up remembering only the last dream.

7/7

Men and women dream differently

Women and men are not different just physically and emotionally but they are poles apart in their dreaming structure as well. Interestingly, men dream more about men while women have equality in their dreams too! Also, men tend to have more aggressive dreams with conflicting emotions as compared to women.
