The reported details align with the song’s narrative, which tells the story of discovering that a partner had been spending money on another woman, including buying her expensive gifts like a handbag.



West End Girl marks Allen’s first album in seven years. The new material doesn’t shy away from personal accusations. Across the record, she alleges that Harbour lied to other women about being in an “open” relationship in order to cheat during their marriage.
