Try these to resolve fights with your partner!

The activities you do with your loved ones impacts your mood, health and relationships. In fact, experts recommend engaging in hobbies and interests with your partner when you both have been fighting constantly or have been in a sour mood. Couples therapy exercises are a great way to initiate a problem-solving approach as well as improve relationship dynamics at a time when things have been going downhill. Hence, here listed are some couple therapy exercises that you should definitely try with your partner.

2/6

Express love through any medium

Practice expressing or showing appreciation towards your partner via texts, calls throughout the day, when you’re not present with them. And when you are, shower each other with enough love. Tell your partner how important they are to you and also express gratitude.

3/6

Collect memorable things

Try collecting pictures, cards, gifts etc. that remind you and your partner of the memorable days in your relationship. This brings back feelings of familiarity and togetherness at a time when you both were inseparable. Looking at these memorable things will help ease out the intensity of fights.

4/6

Have important conversations

Schedule important conversations rather than delay them. No matter how intense the matter is, talk about it at length with your partner to communicate and resolve the problem. Most of the time when you and your partner engage in fights and the timing is wrong, it can escalate further, causing more problems. So, it’s necessary to also schedule a time to communicate with your partner.

5/6

Partner yoga

This is a great way to feel calm, collected and at peace with your partner. Yoga regulates the hormones in your body and practising it with your partner will help you both feel balanced. Practising partner yoga poses will improve the trust between you both.

6/6

Talk about your day

You will be surprised to see how much you both can talk about when it comes to discussing how your day was. It allows you both to discuss the frustration you both have faced throughout the day. And all is well when it comes to talking about fantastic things that happened during the day!
