Do you connect with these confessions?

When we talk about ‘saas bahu’ issues in families, there are many stories and the same is true when we speak of 'nanad bhabhi'. We have some scenarios where a brother’s sister secretly envies her ‘bhabhi’ or sister-in-law. Here are 3 women who anonymously told us why they hate their brother’s sister and some may even be thought-provoking. So scroll down and let us know if you feel the women and if you are in the same boat!

I envy the fact that she is a working woman

I belong to an open-minded family but my in-laws are conservative. I knew it since day one so I cannot complain but some rules are very different in both homes. In my side of the family, education was always given prime importance and you have to be a working person be it as an employee or a freelancer or a business person. However, at my in-laws, I was forced to leave my job and be a housewife. My husband did support my passion for working and he even said that it is my call, once a decision is taken he will stand by me but I knew that would bring unrest in the house so I quit. So now, when my younger brother got married, his wife never left working. Even when she had a baby, she just took maternity leave and was back to work thereafter. I have always envied the fact that she gets to be her own and I don’t. I pick up silly fights with her and say words I don’t even mean because I know it is my jealousy talking.

3/4

She can carry off any kind of clothing

My brother’s wife is a healthy woman and what irritates me about her is that she can carry off any kind of clothing or jewellery. She walks with such confidence and her face has so much character that you will turn around to check her out in a good way even if she is wearing rags! I gave her my suit which I personally thought was very cheap looking but when she wore it, she made it look so fashionable! I know I am rude to her all the time and she keeps wondering why I do that but the truth is, I envy her for her confidence!

4/4

My mother dotes on her more than me

I have generally seen mothers-in-law conniving against their daughters-in-law but in my home, it is the opposite. My mother dotes so much on my brother’s wife that it is annoying. I have pangs of jealousy when I see mom oiling bhabhi’s long hair, feeding her fruits in the evening when she is back from work, shopping for her just because… Ma never did these things for me. It’s not like my sister-in-law is giving her salary at home or she looks like Aishwarya Rai or is ji Mummyji kind of woman. I often have vicious ideas to hurt her like those shown in Indian TV shows… I hate her!
