Love knows no bounds and this stands true when we also speak of the age factor. In most marriages, the man is older than the woman but in the 2020’s we will have several couples where the woman is older than the man. I married a woman 6 years older than me and I think I made the best decision ever! She is understanding, and very mature and the way she takes charge of different situations turns me on. We have been married for 2 years now and things just get better like fine wine. She has a dominating personality and I have a submissive one which works well for us. Had she dominated me to do something against my wishes I would have had a problem but my wife simply pushes me to push myself out of my comfort zone and become a go-getter so it is amazing for me. I just love her nature.

When we were dating, I found it sexy but after marrying my wife who is 10 years older than me, I realised I had become a puppet. My wife tries to control my every little thing right from what I should wear, and eat to whom I should hang out with. It is suffocating. My parents too noticed that but I had to act like I am happy because well I did go against my parents’ wishes to marry her.

When we married, we were both working professionals and aced our work in our respective fields. My wife who may be 5 years older than me, was always mature and we always had this silent love going on between us. We have fun, think alike, and make a great team. Our age gap never mattered. In fact, it is only during documentation and ID proof time for booking flights and bank work etc are we reminded of the 6-year age gap. Besides, I am the one with white hair between us.

We never cared about our age gap but my parents have still not been able to digest the fact that I married a woman 13 years older than me. If you see us, we look the same age. My wife has a daughter from her previous marriage and perhaps that still bothers them. They still taunt me for my choice and it gets tiring. My wife initially kept calm but now she too loses it when they say anything to me. Since she has a strong personality, no one has had the courage to say anything to her but I just don’t see why they can’t accept it and come to terms with the fact that a woman too can be the older one in a marriage!
