Cheryl Hines gives her husband RFK Jr. an ultimatum amidst the sexting scandal

Actress Cheryl Hines seems to have given her husband Robert F. Kennedy Jr., an ultimatum, following his infamous sexting scandal with political journalist Olivia Nuzzi. Looks like it's a 'take it or leave it' scenario. Following the highly publicized cheating scandal, Hines has reportedly asked her husband RFK Jr., the newly appointed Secretary of Health and Human Services, to relocate her to Washington, D.C.

A source told Daily Mail that the actress has given a 'strict ultimatum' to her 71-year-old husband, amidst the cheating scandal that rocked their marriage. Hines, 59, reportedly struggled with trust issues after Kennedy was accused of sexting the New York Magazine Washington correspondent, half his age in September 2024. The duo allegedly had an affair during the 2024 campaign.

“Cheryl doesn’t feel Bobby can be trusted one iota living on his own, in D.C., even part-time, with so many attractive women and Kennedy groupies around, as he gets settled in his powerful new position,” an insider told the Daily Mail. This has apparently led to the 'strict ultimatum – move me or else.”

Hines’ representative responding to Daily Beast, however, said, “I have a strict policy to never comment on my client’s personal life.”

Another source told the Daily Mail that, “Cheryl’s willing to sacrifice all the glamorous lifestyle to become a political wife, moved to DC forthwith, and live in trendy Georgetown, so she can keep a close watch on Bobby.”

Despite rumors of an impending divorce, Hines chose to stay with her husband. However, sources claim that she is still “absolutely recovering from the emotional shock and pain” of the betrayal. Well, trust is a tricky thing, once lost, it certainly takes time, which perhaps allegedly led to her not trusting Kenny living in DC without her, and she fears he may repeat his past behavior.

Meanwhile, former New York Magazine’s Washington correspondent Olivia Nuzzi, 32, met Kennedy while she was reporting on the 2024 campaign. According to Page Six, Nuzzi fell madly in love with Kennedy and they had long calls, endless texts, and also ‘incredible’ virtual sex on FaceTime. Their flirtatious exchange and affair has reportedly cost her the two-year engagement with Politico‘s chief Washington correspondent Ryan Lizza.
