Wondering how they started off? Read here

Actress Athiya Shetty and cricketer KL Rahul have been making headlines after making their first public appearance together during the premiere of ‘Tadap.’ They make a super-cute pair and have kept their fans enamoured with their social media romance. The duo occasionally posts pictures with each other and we love the chemistry they exude. Curious to know how they started off? Let’s find out!

Mutual coincidence

The pair first appeared together on social media in a photo that saw the couple smile together with a friend in between. It had been reported that a mutual friend had set them up. And so, back in April 2019, Akansha Ranjan Kapoor posted a photo with the duo captioning the picture, “...n i’m so good with that.” This surely gave fans something to think about!

A designer spills the beans

Before fans grabbed hold of Akansha Ranjan Kapoor’s picture, fans caught a rather interesting conversation between Athiya Shetty and designer Vikram Phadnis. The latter commented on Athiya’s picture with, “You seem to be v hyper and excited these days? Let’s go KL ?… Kuala Lumpur?” with which Athiya wrote, “TIME to block you!” He surely gave a hint about her being with her rumoured beau!

Speculations

Athiya was earlier linked to American rapper, Drake as he had left some pretty interesting comments on her pictures. But, later as the photos slowly rolled by, Athiya started posting photos with Rahul, to show, he was the one for her. Many fans speculated that it was a fling while others commented on how serious they were with each other.

They look chic together!

The couple was also a part of the creatives of an eyewear ad campaign, where they looked sleek and uber-cool together. Numi Paris, the French luxury eyewear brand appointed the two as the brand ambassadors.
