What men hide from their partners

There’s a lot that goes on between two individuals in a relationship. Much is determined by the love that exists between the two, but a lot depends on the kind of communication both the man and the woman share amongst themselves. While women are considered to be more expressive and vocal about their disagreements and emotions, men tend to suppress most of those things, either to please their partners or to avoid any further conflicts. Although sometimes, they feel the need to share their internal turmoil with their partners, there’re either drawn back by their insecurities or their need to appear masculine. Well, much of it is defined by the societal expectations men must fulfill. That being said, here are 6 truths men are most likely to hide from their partners.

2/7

They find other women attractive

One of the most basic truths that a man hides from a woman is being attracted to other women. As much as it may irritate or annoy a woman, it is but natural for anyone to admire someone else’s beauty and appearance. But this is something a man will always keep from his partner. It can be seen as an effort on the man’s part to avoid any misunderstanding or petty disputes in their relationship.

3/7

They find their partners utterly annoying at times

Sometimes, even when you’re ridiculously in love, your partner can come off as someone extremely annoying. While a woman may just say it out loud, a man may let it pass and will try and resort to other possibilities to cheer their partners up. But that’s not always the case though. There are exceptions.

4/7

Their financial incompetency

Men are supposedly the breadwinners of the house. ‘The man of the house’ as you might call it. And therefore, due to this role given to them by society, they’re most likely to feel the pressures of financial insecurity and work incompetency. Once they give in to these insecurities, they’ll probably make it a point to hide it from their partners, as they do not want to reveal their vulnerability or weakness.

5/7

Their lack of sexual prowess

Lack of experience in sex or any form of physical intimacies can really challenge a man’s pride. That being said, they’ll truly hide it from their partners, even though it’s absolutely clear.

6/7

They struggle with internal conflicts too

Many times, we expect men to stiffen up and become the man they should be, but what we don’t understand is that they too suffer from emotional problems and feel the need to shed it out. However, societal conditioning has made it extremely difficult for them to express their deepest fears and vulnerabilities. Until and unless they can rest their entire trust in you, they’ll try their best to hide their reality.

7/7

They’re tired of living up to the expectations of toxic masculinity

Apart from the continuous need to appear strong and stern, men also have to live up to the chivalry, they don’t possess. While in a relationship, much of it has to do with pleasing their partners, some men are just too tired of all the pretentiousness. Rather than appearing strong and masculine, they just want to be themselves and be able to showcase their weaknesses to their partners, but they’re sometimes too insecure about the judgements that might be passed.
