These life lessons will come in handy

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is one show that has completed 3642 episodes and has entertained viewers since 2008. It has given us many life lessons that keep us glued to it, making us come back to it every day. So, as an ode to the show, we bring to you some crucial life lessons that we have absorbed and that we feel you too will resonate with.

2/6

Family is strength

All the Gokuldham families form a big happy family. Together, they have beaten many adversaries and the biggest of problems, the meanest of enemies have not been able to bring them down. It is the same in real life too. When all members of a family come together to face them, it hardly takes time to solve issues. There is strength in unity.

3/6

Friendship is priceless

Money, fame and power are nothing in front of a strong bond of friendship. This is the biggest takeaway of the show. Jethalal and Taarak have always shown us how important a healthy friendship is. If one is in trouble, the other becomes the saviour. Friends are like lifelines and it helps our mental health. No feeling of loneliness can creep in if you have good friends.

4/6

Respect is crucial

Respecting our elders is something that we are taught since childhood. No matter which generation you belong to, when we respect our elders, our elders bless us and that goes a long way in life. Not only that, ‘Bapuji’s character, played by Amit Bhatt, has always had family members coming to him for his wise advice. Even the kids in the family follow this dictum.

5/6

Neighbours can be goldmines

Nowadays, in new societies, we have started keeping to ourselves to avoid unnecessary interaction and the nosey attitude of neighbours. What we forget is that it is important to keep cordial relationships with all. Taking a leaf out of the show, the best example would be that of Popatlal. Whenever he had to go on bride hunts and needed sisters which he did not have, the ladies from the Mahila mandal come together to help him. When the womenfolk were cheated by a sari-seller, they united against him and made him accept his mistake. From solving Iyer-Babita’s issues to helping out Mrs. Bhide tackle her strict husband, they have always been there. Neighbours can be like a family, you must learn how to deal with the nosey attitude as well.

6/6

Never underestimate the kids

As kids, we have no prejudice. We are unfiltered and all we look for is love. Sometimes, the children in the house can solve the biggest of problems in the house. When we have fights, only a kid can intervene and ask us to hug it out. They have no ego as such if they know what the situation demands. Kids can amaze you so never underestimate them.
