3 ways SEX ADDICTS lie to their wives

Sex addiction is a major issue and to hide that, addicts begin lying to their spouses. To avoid being caught, there are 3 ways in which sex addicts lie. And yes they do ruin the relationship. Here are the those ways you ought to know and stop the lying spouse has become used to if he or she is a sex addict.

2/4

Denial

Even if you have pictures as proof, their first response is denial. The defense mechanism kicks in full throttle and the length to which they can go to make themselves look innocent can be mind-boggling. The shame that they feel will force them to not admit the truth. They will not be able to look you in the eye, will keep touching his face while talking or completely withdraw and not answer you at all, and probably leave the room.

3/4

Gaslighting

This is the second step or the second way out for them and it can make you go crazy! The psychological manipulation will drive you nuts. He or she will act like a maniac, raise his voice, get angry while denying the truth, and another way is that he or she may even add details to the lie with so much perfection that it will seem real and you will definitely believe it!

4/4

Self denial

Many people love to be in their own bubble especially when they become addicts. This is habitual lying and they start believing those lies themselves. Do not be shocked if they say “ I never do such things”. She or he may not be able to separate their married life from their lies and often merge the facts. If this third scenario happens then be more patient if you want them to recover with therapy because this will take way longer.

Take help, first talk to him or her and do not lose patience. It is an addiction and not a simple cheating scenario. Do not fall for dialogues like ‘If you really knew me (the real me), then you would leave me”. Challenge it and ask them to explain what they are going through first. Do not lash out because the lying has stemmed from the belief that you will react like that.
