One of Britain’s most prominent aristocratic families — the Duke and Duchess of Westminster, Hugh and Olivia Grosvenor, welcomed their first child together on July 27, 2027. The couple, who have close ties with the UK Royal family, announced the news of the birth of their baby girl named Cosima Florence Grosvenor recently.


Born on Sunday, July 27 in London, baby Cosima arrived into a world filled with warmth, tradition, and deep family ties, as per reports. In an official statement shared with PEOPLE, the couple expressed their joy, saying, “The Duke and Duchess of Westminster are thrilled to announce the birth of their baby daughter. Both the Duchess and Cosima are doing well. The Duke and Duchess now look forward to spending this special time together as a family.”


The couple got married in June 2024 in a grand wedding at Chester Cathedral — a ceremony that brought together royalty, close friends, and well-wishers in a beautiful celebration of love. It is interesting to note that at their wedding, Hugh's close friend Prince William was seen ushering guests-- as he helped Princess Eugenie and others find their seats, as per a report by PEOPLE.


In March 2025, a few months into their wedding the Duke and Duchess of Westminster, Hugh and Olivia Grosvenor, had shared the news of their pregnancy as their spokesperson announced, “The couple are delighted with the news and are very much looking forward to starting a family together.”

And so, it's widely speculated that Prince William could now return the honour and be chosen as Cosima’s godfather.
