Jim Irsay Family: All about his ex-wife Meg Coyle and their children
Jim Irsay, the longtime owner and CEO of the Indianapolis Colts, passed away on May 21, 2025, at the age of 65.
According to the Colts' official statement, Irsay passed away peacefully in his sleep.
Jim Irsay is survived by his three daughters, Carlie Irsay-Gordon, Casey Foyt, and Kalen Jackson, who have been involved in the team's operations.
Here’s a look at the prominent NFL figure’s family:
Meg Coyle:
Jim Irsay and Meg Coyle’s love story was a classic high-school romance. The duo met during their high school years, attending Loyola Academy in Wilmette, Illinois, a suburb just north of Chicago. Their relationship began as a teenage romance and evolved into a lifelong partnership. Jim married Meg Coyle in 1980.
The couple's marriage lasted for over three decades before they separated in 2003 and finalized their divorce in 2014.
Despite their separation, Meg and Jim have maintained a cordial relationship, and she has continued to support his philanthropic endeavors and remained close to their daughters.
Carlie Irsay-Gordon:
Carlie Irsay-Gordon is the eldest of Jim and Meg's daughters.
She has been actively involved in the Colts organization, serving as the vice chair and co-owner since 2012. Carlie began her career in the team's ticket office and later worked in marketing and strategy before assuming her current role. In 2014, she stepped in as chair after her father's legal troubles, demonstrating her leadership and commitment to the team.
Carlie is married to attorney Zach Gordon, and they have three children together. She has been instrumental in initiatives such as "Kicking the Stigma," a program launched in May 2021 by Jim to raise awareness about mental health and addiction recovery .
Casey Foyt:
Casey Foyt is the middle daughter of Jim and Meg.
She serves as the vice president of community relations and philanthropy for the Colts, focusing on the team's charitable efforts and community engagement. Casey is married and has children, continuing the family's legacy of involvement in the Colts organization.
Kalen Jackson
Kalen Jackson is the youngest of the three sisters.
She holds the position of vice president and chief operating officer for the Colts, overseeing the team's day-to-day operations. Kalen is married and has children, and like her sisters, she plays a crucial role in the family's stewardship of the Colts.
Legacy and succession
Following his death, his daughter Carlie Irsay-Gordon is expected to take charge of the team's football operations. Carlie, 44, will share ownership of the Colts with her sisters, Casey Foyt and Kalen Jackson. All three daughters of Jim and Meg were named vice chair/owners in 2012 and have been involved with the franchise for over a decade.
