'India lives in cricket': Viral video of delivery man kissing cricket bat before leaving shows the cost of responsibilities

A dream is a wish that the heart makes, but when you don't have the opportunities and resources to follow your dreams, you end up sacrificing them for a livelihood. Not everyone has the luxury of investing their time and money into their dreams, which is why some end up swapping them for a less inspiring but sustainable reality.

A video going viral on the internet, tells this tale soundly. Shared by talentpost_india on Instagram, the clip showed a Blinkit deliveryman giving the order to a family. As he was moving towards the exit of the floor, he spotted a cricket bat.

Soon, he picked it up and began practising a few cricket shots, briefly escaping his world of deliveries and responsibilities. The short moment became even more emotional after he lovingly kissed the bat before putting it back.

The video has been shared on numerous platforms including LinkedIn, Instagram and X (formerly Twitter). “Some passions never fade. In the middle of his delivery routine, our delivery partner gave us a glimpse of the cricketer he still carries within. Not every talent gets a stadium, but the love for the game always finds its way back,” wrote a user while sharing the video on LinkedIn.

"We all carry a sky full of dreams, but most stay dreams. What wakes us up every morning is the weight of responsibilities staring us in the face," added another.
