Breastfeeding is just the most natural thing to do and is essential for nourishing your babies. For working mothers, who have a hectic schedule, taking care of their babies can be quite tough and feeding can become strugglesome. Celebrity mothers can relate to this too. With many now openly speaking about balancing work and motherhood, this actress just did another super normal thing in the coolest way possible. While she was busy battling enemies onscreen, she was caring for her baby in between shots. How awesome is that?

TV actress Gemma Wheelan, who plays a fearless fighter in a popular television show currently on air is a fearless person off screen too. The actress, 38, gave birth to her baby in 2017 when she was shooting for the show. She brought her baby along with her to the sets and just did what every mom would do when the baby needs to eat. She breastfed her baby on the sets! This goes a long way in normalizing the taboo around breastfeeding in public.

Gemma also said in an interview earlier that she always wanted to be a full time working mom, even if it meant bringing her young baby to the sets while she battled enemies in scenes! In an interview, she was quoted as saying,

“She was very little [when we started filming] she came on set for the whole thing with me because I was breastfeeding her.”

Sharing a post on Instagram, Gemma, who is seen as Yara Greyjoy on the critically acclaimed TV show said,

“Enjoy tonight’s episode guys...! Yara’s got some big news... #got #hbo #plottwistahoy,” she captioned the picture.

Gemma can be seen in her character with makeup on and holding the baby. The makers of the show and the channel are equally proud of her and called the actress “aggressive fighter, loving mother”

Users left in comments praising the actress for normalizing breastfeeding.

“Proud of you, mama. Nothing like nursing sessions between battle scenes, I’m sure”.

“Thank you for helping normalize breastfeeding!”

“Yara. The ultimate feminist that women need. Woop Woop.”

“Oh, my lovely @gemwhelan to hear you worked and got to breastfeed on set while you filmed the last few episodes made me so happy. should be an inspiration for other workplaces to be more adaptable. My journey of Motherhood could have really appreciated this.”

More recently, Greys Anatomy star, Sarah Drew brought in her personal experience when it came to her character juggling between her job and being a mother. She gave inputs for her character, April Kepner to pump breast milk while she was on her job. When asked about the same, she said,

"As a breastfeeding mother, I would be pumping if I was away from my baby. So that action, that cut, made it into the scene. It’s something I really care about and is part of, for me, what it means to be a working mother. You have to account for all of that stuff when you travel away from your child. I always really celebrate the moments where we get a window into that struggle or that journey."

Super proud of these stars!
