We all know our dads are never fond of appreciation: neither they like giving it or they like getting it. Even if you don't say this, your dad will still remain your first and most solid support system. Thanking your dad for supporting you at times when you had lost your confidence is a great way to start a conversation. Sit with him and help him remember the incident.
