Model and actress Kim Jin Kyung husband Kim Seung Gyu announce pregnancy; all set to welcome their first baby

Model-turned-actress Kim Jin Kyung announced and national team goalkeeper Kim Seung Gyu ade expecting a baby. Kim announced her pregnancy during her acceptance speech at the recently held SBS Entertainment Awards on December 30.

She won the Top Excellence Award (Reality) for her role on the popular soccer variety show “Shooting Stars", and while receiving the award she made this heartfelt revelation.


The moment was extremely emotional as she shared this news on stage and also spoke about taking a break from soccer. In her acceptance speech she said, "I think it’s time for me to take a short break from the soccer I love so much. A healthy baby is growing well inside me. While it makes me a little sad to step away from soccer for now, I’ll return even healthier.”

Congratulatory messages have been pouring in from all over. Fans and well-wishers have been wishing the couple.

Along with it, she also thanked the show’s production team, her teammates, her family, and her husband Kim Seung Gyu, for their unwavering support.

The 28-yr-old model and actress participated in Korea's Next Top Model and became the runner up. In 2016, she made her acting debut with a web drama titled Yellow. She has been a part of several reality shows and tv shows.

Her husband plays as a goalkeeper for J1 League club FC Tokyo and the South Korea national team.

The couple tied the knot last year on June 17.
