1/6

Tell them about different religions

Before teaching your child about the religion you follow, it is important to teach him/ her about the different types of religion existing in the world.

Give the child a brief idea on the religions, their faith, their principle, their ideology and why it is important to respect all of them.

Help them understand the core foundation of every religion and what makes them different from each other.

2/6

Do not keep your child blind from other religions

Do not stop your child from learning about other religions. Let them have their own views and opinions about other forms of religion. You can have a healthy discussion with them about the opinion.

3/6

Do not get dispassionate about a religion before kids

As an adult, you definitely must have your own views on different religions and you are definitely entitled to have your own opinion but do not influence the kid. Give an unbiased opinion on religion to your kid.

4/6

Make them participate in various religious activities

In order to help them understand the true values of a religion encourage them to participate in festivals of different religions. On the festival day teach a few facts about the significance of the festival, why it is celebrated and what are the rituals that are followed.

5/6

Take them to different places of worship

Another way to make learning religion fun and interesting is to take kids to different places of worship like temples, mosques, synagogues, etc. The different architectural beauty of these places of worship will generate a sense of liking and love for all religions.

6/6

Love and faith in humanity should be above everything else

When teaching your kid about religion, embed it in their mind that love and compassion towards fellow human beings is above every religion.

There should never be discrimination based on religion. Human values like empathy, kindness, generosity, benevolence should be spread to each and every human being irrespective of which religion they belong to.
