How to host an unplanned New Year’s Eve party

So you missed the boat for the New Year celebrations and cannot get out of the city.
The tickets for all the different New Year parties are too expensive and the bomb blast in the city recently has made you concerned about your safety? Well, don’t fret, you can instead host a house party and have all your friends over.
Decide on a guest-list and send out invitation messages asking your friends to confirm soon so that you can decide on the rest of the preparations.Once you have a confirmation on how many people will be attending your party, you can decided on the food and drinks.
You can go for a BYOB party, where people can bring their own drinks and mixes and you can help them with making cocktails, if they want to. Alternatively, you can buy the drinks after knowing the individual preferences.
Depending on your turn out, you can also have a theme and ask people to dress accordingly.
Keep some finger food handy like chips or peanut masala. You can perhaps order for some starters too and save the dinner delivery for later. But make sure that you give advance notice to the restaurant that you order from since it gets busy on New Year’s Eve.
Decide on the music and download and keep the tracks ready so that you can play them on the loop without interruption.
