New Delhi, January 24, 2026 – In a distinguished ceremony held at the Sahitya Akademi Auditorium, Patanjali Yogpeeth proudly honored Kerala’s senior Hindi litterateur A. Aravindakshan and Arunachal Pradesh’s young poet Jamuna Bini with the ‘Tathagat Sahitya Samman.’ The event celebrated literary excellence, bridging North-South India through language and culture.
The program commenced with a captivating Kathak performance based on Mahakavi Nirala’s Saraswati Vandana. Dr. N.P. Singh (former IAS), patron of the Tathagat Trust under Patanjali’s aegis, highlighted the trust’s vision for social-educational initiatives and fostering dialogue between India’s diverse linguistic traditions. Instituted in memory of renowned litterateur Ramdarash Mishra, the award recognizes profound contributions to Hindi and Indian literature.
Eminent writers including Anamika, Om Nischal, Ashok Vajpeyi, and Chandrakanta shared insights on the laureates’ works. A. Aravindakshan’s ‘Dhadkanon Ke Bheetar Jaakar’ delves into inner emotional rhythms, while Jamuna Bini’s ‘Jab Adivasi Gaata Hai’ powerfully voices tribal consciousness, linguistic sensitivities, and human values.
This gathering marked a significant step in strengthening dialogue, empathy, and humanity across Hindi and broader Indian literature, aligning with Patanjali’s commitment to cultural preservation and holistic wellness through arts.
