The scorching sun can leave you feeling dehydrated and deplete your energy levels. As a result, this takes a toll on your body and your skin. While coconut water and buttermilk have always been part of our summer diet. Dr Geeta Fazalbhoy, a dermatologist, suggests a few additions that can help you stay hydrated.
Try infused water
Always trade that soda for a glass of water. And if you want to add some splash of colour, and make things a little interesting, create your own infusion water. Cut an orange pr a few mint leaves or celery or strawberry or lime or watermelon and add any of it to two litres of water. This concoction prevents dehydration and keeps skin looking soft and supple. It's also rich in vitamin C.

Lime water, sugar or salt is a quick refreshing drink that helps you beat headaches and makes for a refreshing drink.
Sip on some coconut water
Coconut water is another healthy alternative, which is also a good source of potassium.

Instead of fruit juice, opt for vegetable juices made from cucumber, celery, spinach leaves, beetroot. It will give you a shot of iron and take care of water retention. They can also help to flush out toxins from your body.
