Name: Navaneet Jammula

Occupation: Tattoo Artist

Age: 33yrs

Height: 165cm

City: Berhampur

Highest weight recorded: 98kg

Weight lost: 35kg

Duration it took me to lose weight: 1.2y

2/7

The turning point

Being unfit, overweight took a toll on me. It came to a point where I became extremely frustrated with myself. My excess body fat percentage made it difficult for me to perform basic exercises, to even move myself. I have kids and for them I didn’t want to be that unfit father. That’s when I decided to join Fittr and take guidance from my fittr coach Kishor S. Shivaji.

3/7

Diet followed

Basically all my meals are quantified. I measured it and then prepared meals.

My breakfast: Oats/milk/almonds/whole eggs. Quantity changes based on the progress achieved.

My lunch: Rice/Chicken/green veggies/curd. All meals are quantified again.

My dinner: Rice or wheat flour/chicken/green veggies

Pre-workout meal: Black coffee and simple sugars from some fruits ( Seasonal)

Post- workout meal: Whey protein

I indulge in (What you eat on your cheat days): I used to enjoy my cheat days without any regrets because I used to be on track post cheat meals. I like to eat some sweets to satisfy my cravings.

Low-calorie recipes I swear by: I used to make vegetable salad, fruits combination with yogurt/curd.

4/7

Workout regime

I used to workout 5-6 days a week and indulged in weight training. I used to cover 2 muscle groups per day, keeping twice the frequency, meaning hitting all muscles two times a week.

My workouts include push, pull, leg, core, push-pull mix and then Sunday active rest day.

5/7

Fitness secrets I unveiled

I discovered quantifying food is the real WIN. We can eat any food which gives us essential nutrients. I learnt the importance of tracking my nutrition and training both. One should only progress when they keep improving their performances.

How do I stay motivated?: I am a firm believer of discipline. It takes anyone anywhere. Motivation is overrated, discipline is underrated now. All I had was the mindset to improve myself every single day until I reached my end goal. So happy that I didn't change my mind even when my body didn't show results. Consistency has played a vital role in my fitness journey!

How do you ensure you don’t lose focus?: I had an end goal imagination already in my mind. Gave myself a good amount of time to learn and overcome my weakness. That learning mindset helped me to keep my focus on point.

6/7

What’s the most difficult part of being overweight?

It became impossible to find good clothes that fit me. I was frustrated and felt like I wouldn’t be able to handle myself. Hence, I decided to get fit.

What shape do you see yourself 10 years down the line?: All I look for is healthy and sustainable fitness. I want to maintain normal BMI with good level of strength to handle all physical activity. Want to improve my muscle mass to look more muscular and athletic.

7/7

What are the lifestyle changes you made?

I changed my old habits, especially the ones that made me fat in the first place. I have developed the habit of eating healthy at home, started preparing meals and counting calories. Same way, I tracked how much effort I was putting into my training. So basically I have changed habits to get better and lead a sustainable lifestyle.

Lessons learnt from weight loss: I don't want to put my hands in fire again. So I learnt to track my nutrition and training, so I can stay fit and happy forever.
