A glimpse at this man’s jaw-dropping weight loss transformation!

Anish Abbasi struggled with weight gain, which gradually took a toll on his confidence. His relatives began commenting on his unhealthy physique and even assumed that his weight issues could pose problems to his marriage. It was then that he made up his mind and decided to get his fitness back on track. He made healthy food choices and started training 6 days a week. This is how he lost 25 kilos in 1.5 years. Here’s his weight loss story.

The turning point

When I was overweight, one of my relatives passed remarks on my body and told my mother that I was too fat, that I will face challenges in my marriage. That’s when I decided to start my fitness journey and to get back in shape.

My breakfast: Poha, sandwich, protein shake


My lunch: 2 chapati, salad & fruits


My dinner: Rice dal, salad & protein shake


Pre-workout meal: Apple


Post-workout meal: Sandwich & eggs


I indulge in (What you eat on your cheat days): Momos


Low-calorie recipes I swear by: Oats

I work out 6 days a week and indulge only in crunches, sit-ups, and cardio like jumping and running.

I have realised everyone should be calm and stress-free.


How do I stay motivated?: My mother always pushed me to achieve my fitness goals.


How do you ensure you don’t lose focus?: It’s when I look at my weighing machine that I remember what my goals are.

Being overweight made me self-conscious. Sometimes I even hesitated to talk with girls at family functions.

Now I am taking my meals on time which I did not do previously.


Lessons learned from weight loss: Sometimes, being overweight gives light to a negative personality. However, one thing people should make sure is never lose their Confidence.
