According to reports, the actress lost close to 18 kilos and looks a lot different than before. The 40-year-old also shared a photo from her workout session on her feed, flaunting her impressive figure, captioning it, 'Verified Sunday workout: crushed it!'

Not only is the actress's transformation an eye-opener, but it's also something which can inspire anyone. Rebel, who recently let out a statement saying that she was paid to look "bigger" and comical in films suffered from years of work stress and emotional eating, which made her pile on the kilos quickly.

Workout and diet secrets revealed

Instilling a lot of discipline, hard work, and most of all, she working on her mind, Rebel worked on her body and is now serving goals. It was only recently when she dubbed 2020 as the 'year of health' and vowed to slim down to 75 kilos.

Rebel's impressive weight loss is proof why the lockdown can be the perfect time for you to work on your fitness goals. The actress, too admitted that she made it a point to make use of her at-home time to get fitter for better. Her personal trainer, Jono Castano Acera also shared details about her workout and diet routine:

Workout routine

For starters, HIIT and weight training was something which helped Rebel lose quick kilos. She followed a combination of workout styles like HIIT, resistance, training for six days a week.

Circuit training is also something the actress experiments with. Some of her favourite exercises include squats, lunges and also workouts with a Bosu ball. What is rather inspiring is that even on her cheat days, Rebel makes sure to meet her 10,000 step goal!

Diet

While Rebel admitted that she suffered from emotional eating, one of the things she changed in her diet was saying no to sugar (which is something which helped Adele too in her weight loss journey). Apart from this, Rebel cut down on her junk food habits, made sure she had a lot of fibre in her meals, met her calorie requirements and ate in moderation.

Rebel's impressive weight loss journey for anyone aiming to get fitter. What is even more impressive is that Rebel didn't restrict her fitness journey to a number, and instead, worked to get her health back on track. For someone who avoided the gyms and is now waiting for the gyms to reopen, it has been one healthy change for the actress. She said in an interview,

"I'm determined. So I am trying to lose a lot of my body fat and become a healthier person. It is not so much about a number."
