Shahid Kapoor

Shahid Kapoor

2019 was an important year for the actor when he banked on the success of his film, Kabir Singh, which broke the box office. Well, there was another thing which broke records and that was his transformation. Sporting two different looks for his film, the 38-year-old trained immensely to shed 14 kilos in three quick months. Incredible, right? Well, not only did he gym vigorously (doing dead-lifts, intense cardio, weight training), he also followed a restrictive diet. All this and more, while remaining a vegetarian!

To get the look, he followed a strict diet for 40 days where he ate just 50 grams of brown rice and steamed vegetables during the day. He also went off salt and sugar for some days preparing for the role. This helped him lose extra body fat and gain lean muscles. He later added carbs to his diet to beef up, according to Samir Jaura, who modified his diet for the movie.

As he said, Kabir Singh was draining but the appreciation was all worth it!

Hrithik Roshan

Hrithik Roshan

While Hrithik Roshan has always been the poster boy sporting the perfect looking abs and a toned figure, 2019 was the year he proved that fitness, no matter what age is not hard to achieve, if you have the go-getter spirit in you!

The year when he gave two blockbuster releases, Hrithik was seen in two distinct looks - one in a de-glam avatar, as a slightly plump teacher for 'Super30' to 'War' where he sported ripped abs, all this while recovering from an injury. Speaking about the same, the actor said that this transformation was nothing less than a 'war' he waged on his body, but the efforts were all worth it:

"The biggest war of life has clearly been completing the film 'War'. After 'Super 30', the fat content of my body was too much. My body had become lazy and I was given only 2 months to get in shape and it wasn’t enough. I started this film on a bit of a backfoot because my body was not ready."

At the age of 45, Hrithik is an inspiration to never say never!

Prabhas

Prabhas

The southern superstar charmed his way into millions of hearts across the country all due to his incredible looks and physique, all the way from Baahubali to Saahi. In fact, people found it hard to believe that the actor looked much fitter and leaner as a gun yielding, criminal fighting cop. Can you believe? He lost over 10 kilos for the role and engaged in hardcore training to look the best. The diet and the dedication he follows is every gym lover's dream. His personal trainer shared some deets into his incredible workout:

"Since he had to lose 10 kilos for Saaho, the hour-long cardio sessions would be either swimming, cycling or playing volleyball. Prabhas loves to play the sport, and it’s only a coincidence that I am also a national-level volleyball player. So, we play together."

"For Prabhas, fitness training is a stress-buster. It is something he genuinely enjoys. So, even if he'd wrap up filming at 12 at night, and regardless of how intense his action sequences of the day were, we would still train later."

"We'd carry dumbbells, weights and resistance bands. If we didn't find a gym, we'd train in rooms. With a pair of dumbbells, you can pull off a large number of variations. Without accessories, we would execute about 100 free squats and walking lunges over hour-long training sessions."

So, what we are saying is, don't make your busy schedule an excuse!

Ram Kapoor

Ram Kapoor

Known for his role in "Bade Acche Lagte Hain" and some hindi films, Ram Kapoor lost a whopping 40 kilos in under a year, all naturally, without any supplements or surgery and took the internet by complete surprise when he shared photos of himself post the transformation.

They say the best weight-loss bodies are built in the kitchen and implemented in the mind. Ram Kapoor's journey is no less proof. Following strict intermittent fasting (16:8) and working out for over two hours a day, six days a week, the actor's weight loss journey is no less inspiration.

While he followed heavy weight training in the mornings, he switched to intense cardio in the night. He is proof that instead of following a fad diet, conscious eating and workout can do wonders for your transformation!

Arjun Kapoor

Arjun Kapoor

Arjun Kapoor's weight loss journey is one for keeps! From being called 'Fubu' to a 'muscled beast', fans have seen him undergo a drastic change. While he had undergone drastic weight loss transformation a few years ago (just to gain some of it back again), he recently underwent a transformation for his role in 'Panipat'. Not just due to the character demands, Arjun felt that he had to workout to live upto the audience's expectations and feel better for himself. This change, having lost over 10 kilos made him feel his best and there is no way he is going back. Arjun Kapoor's story is proof that weight loss is not just about appearance but feeling younger and more confident! Read it from Arjun's own words:

"I've had health issues, I don't talk about. I come from a slightly obese childhood. Slight is an understatement. That comes with its own ailments. I battle with them constantly. Today, I'm back to feeling my best."

Arjun, who started his weight loss journey at the age of 20 is also proof that you can never really stop working out on yourself. Such a motivator for weight watchers everywhere!

"It's been a tough journey for me ever since I was a kid when it comes to my battle with obesity. Everyone has their own struggles I have had and continue to have mine. But the whole point of life is that we fall, we get back up and try again... efforts will pay off eventually if not today then in a week month or even a year.
