TEA: THE ELIXIR OF LIFE: We, Indians just cannot begin our mornings without a cup of ‘garma garam chai,’ and it has been our comfort beverage for ages.

The thing is as much as you love your little cuppa of piping hot tea, it is doing more damage to your body than good when consumed the first thing in the morning.

In spite of being rich in antioxidants, having bed-tea is not the healthiest way to kick-start your morning.

The alternative to bed-tea?

THE ALTERNATIVE TO BED-TEA?: We do understand bed-tea can be very addictive and may even result in headaches if you devoid yourself of the same. You can break this habit by replacing it with cinnamon tea (dalchini) or fennel tea (sauf).

Gradually, once you get habitual, you can also switch to a glass of warm water and then eventually to a glass of plain water.
