30s is the kinkiest age for women! Find out what your sex drive is like in 20s, 30s and 40s!

Why is it that sex feels like a fancy far-off act during certain years of your life and an absolute need in the others? Blame your hormones! Sex is all about the balance of oestrogen, progesterone and testosterone in your body and whenever there’s a tip on any side, your sex life witnesses a change. As a fact, it changes as you dwindle through your teenage, 20s, 30s and get 40 plus. Curious what the number of your age holds for your sex drive? Here we decode it.

2/6

Teenage / Puberty

TEENAGE / PUBERTY: This is an age when it is too early for most women to fantasize about sex. As they are learning things about their own bodies, most women only hate that they are developing pimples, body hair and getting menstruation. At this time, they are mostly too shy about their bodies and fantasy belongs in a far-off land.

20s

20s: While men are dreaming of sex in this age, women are also not behind in their sex-fantasies. However, studies say that more than sex, women have careers, studies and appearance problems in their minds. Also, another deterrent for sex is pregnancy fear as many women may not want to get pregnant during this age group, especially in the early 20s.

4/6

30s

30s: This is the age of blindfolds, spanks, semi-public sex, and all sorts of adventurous sexapades. As most women are married and settled by their 30s, they have stable relationships and a dependable sexual partner, making them open to sexual experimentation. This is the time when their libido is at its peak. However, giving birth to a child can drop down the sex drive for a while, about six months from child birth.

Also, usually in the late 30s, a woman can experience a drop in testosterone levels. However, the drop isn’t very significant to affect her sex drive.

5/6

40 plus

40 PLUS: Though for most women, level of hormones drops post 40s and so does their sex drive, for some women, sex drive can see a resurgence. This is because the stress associated to their children, financial pressure, and other stress factors are mostly controlled.

6/6

During pregnancy

DURING PREGNANCY: When women are pregnant, they usually witness a peak in their sex drive, especially in the second trimester. Again, it is all about hormones. Progesterone goes a thousand times over and estrogenic goes up by a hundred times! Also, some studies claim that if it a male baby, the mother’s sex drive can peak more as in the second trimester, the foetus will secrete men hormones, affecting the mother’s sex drive. Also, as the genitals experience a boosted blood flow during pregnancy, it can also lead to an increased sex drive.
