Use these tips to avoid getting backaches

These days, almost everyone complains about dealing with back pain. Majorly, backaches occur due to poor posture, health issues and not paying enough attention to the body. Hence, we've come up with a list of things that you should do in order to avoid the excruciating pain in your back. These tips will come in handy and once you start practicing them on a regular basis, you will start to see the difference.

2/7

Take mini-breaks

First and foremost, get into the habit of taking microbreaks as these can help you move your body. If you're in a 9-5 job, you'd know how much of a task it is to sit and work for hours. This can take a toll on your body, especially your back. Hence, it is very crucial to get up, move around a little and let your body muscles relax. Stretching also helps greatly once you get up from the chair and are in standing position.

3/7

Exercise

Everybody knows this by now that in order to maintain a great physique and good health, one must exercise on a daily basis. This won't just shape your body muscles but also give your back some relief. Exercising doesn't only mean tiring workouts. It could also mean walking, running and cycling. Pick your way of exercise and get going with it if you want to fix your back.

4/7

Yoga

Another great way to ease out back pain is to practice yoga regularly. There are so many poses in yoga that can work wonders for your back muscles and your spine too. A child's pose or a plank can strengthen your back and improve spine flexibility as well.

5/7

Lose weight

If you're on a healthier side, you must have experienced constant back pain. This is because all that bodyweight is putting pressure on your spine and back muscles. It's best to start losing weight so as to keep your back muscles and spine health intact. You need to adjust your diet and include some exercises to shed those extra kilos and give your back some much-needed relief.

6/7

Quit smoking

There are a lot of health issues related to smoking and lung cancer is the most dangerous one. But smoking can even affect your back and increase the risk of suffering from chronic backache as smoking affects the areas in your brain that are responsible for pain. It is for the best that you quit smoking and safeguard your back from any such risks.

7/7

Sleep on your back or on the side

Fixing your sleep posture also helps you get rid of back pain. The way you sleep is very important for your body muscles. So you need to train yourself to sleep in a particular way if you want to lower the risk of backaches and back issues. Sleep on the back or on the side as it distributes your weight evenly than any other position.
