1/7

Foreplay matters!

Not everything important in life has to be finished soon. Few things like foreplay need to be given more time than expected.

Foreplay can be defined as the intimate act before two people engage in sexual intercourse. It won't be wrong to say that foreplay prepares the body for sexual activity by stimulating the excitement.

Just like orgasm, there is no single path to foreplay. It can be kissing, or sharing fantasies or anything else that suits you and your partner.

2/7

Foreplay has a bigger role than sex!

So, if all these while you have been aiming for the finish line now is the time to enjoy the journey more.

A good foreplay not only gives you pleasure on the bed, it works on your relationship outside the bedroom as well. Foreplay opens up you in front of your partner in the most arousing manner other than sex and manytimes this helps couple kindle their romance during other times.

3/7

Foreplay completes it!

Foreplay initiates the enjoyment that sexual activity carries along with it till you reach the orgasm. Hence, if the foreplay goes well, the sex can go better.

It will connect you with your partner more. Instead of being engaged in bed in a ritualistic manner, foreplay will keep both of you looking forward to it eagerly.

4/7

How does foreplay help?

Foreplay creates a rush within the body which leads to sexual arousal. It increases the heart rate, pulse, dilates the blood vessels of the genitalia, it arouses the body by ushering blood flow to the labia, clitoris, and penis.

It also stimulates the erogenous zones of the body which are breasts and nipples in most people.

In women it induces lubrication of the vagina, which makes the intercourse less painful for some.

5/7

Foreplay for about several minutes

As per a study published in Journal of Sexual Research, men and women actually expect to be in foreplay for a longer duration.

The findings of the study as cited by other reports says that men and women ideally want the foreplay to continue for 20 minutes. "However, men reported a significantly longer ideal duration of intercourse than did their partners," the research study says.

Several studies have found that foreplay lasts for 11-13 minutes in women and men, respectively.

6/7

Do not miss these spots if you are new to foreplay

During foreplay you need to excite the erogenous spots of your partner.

Usually some body parts are sensitive to touches and more sensitive to kisses than others. For example collar bone, ear lobes, back of the neck and shoulders, the pubic bone, lips, nipples, the cleavage, torso, thighs, and around the spinal cord are few hot erogenous zones in a human body. Now, again this varies from individual to individual.

7/7

Do not force into foreplay

Always be gentle during the foreplay act. Wait and stop if something is hurting your partner. Remember, it is all about the pleasure both of you derive. Do not rush into things.

Also, do not zone out during the act. This may spoil the entire motive behind foreplay. A moment missed in foreplay is actually an opportunity missed in sex.
