Heart disease is a leading cause of death in numerous countries, including India. Stress, unhealthy lifestyle, obesity are some of the major factors that contribute to heart-related problems. Going by the data, the death rate due to cardiac problems in India has taken a major leap in the past few years. It has increased by over 50 percent from 1990 to 2016, which is a serious matter of concern.

In a situation when India is reeling to keep their heart healthy, what could be better than to take some inspiration from countries with the lowest heart attack rate. Various studies have revealed that countries like Japan, Korea, and France have the lowest heart-related issues and it is all because of the type of lifestyle they follow:

So here is a list of eight things that the people of these countries do to keep their heart healthy.

Fermented food items are a major staple food of Korea. Their meal is incomplete without Kimchi, which is a fermented staple side dish. Nutritionists have been advocating about the benefits of having fermented food from a long time and it is considered good for health, especially for the heart. It improves immunity, gut health, digestion, support weight loss, and even improve mental health.

If you are worried about heart disease, then include fish in your diet. As per studies eating one or two servings of fish a week could reduce your risk of developing any heart-related complications. Fish dishes dominate the Japanese and Koreans cuisines, which is a secret of their happy heart. Fish is packed with omega-3 fatty acids, which can keep your heart safe.
