Do you know about these cancer signs?

We all know cancer is becoming more common than any of us would like and doctors everywhere say that early detection is the key to treatment and better recovery. However, there are some signs that a lot of us overlook, which could be 'signs of cancer' in both men and women. We don't intend to scare you with this article - it is an effort to increase awareness about cancer signs and symptoms that often go unnoticed.

2/8

Pain in the bone

If you have been ignoring a shooting pain or a strange sensation in bones, it could be a sign of bone cancer. Another sign is swelling or fractures. It is best to get yourself tested to rule out the possibility of bone cancer.

3/8

Prolonged body rash

Most of us get body rash as a response to certain allergy or infection but what most of us don't know is that it can also be an indicator of blood cancer, also called leukemia. Those with leukemia often have red, brown or purple spots on the skin.

4/8

Frequent headaches

If you often complain of headaches and there is an unusual pattern to it, that keeps on growing in intensity, this could be a sign of brain tumour. So watch out for headaches that don't seem normal.

5/8

Changes in nipple

You may be thinking that a lump is the only sign of breast cancer but you must also watch out for your nipples. If they tend to become flattened or turn sideways or inverted, it is time to consult your doctor.

6/8

Swollen testicles

If you see any swelling or inflammation in the testicles, you must visit your doctor. Swollen or enlarged testicles could be a sign of testicular cancer. The reason this goes undetected is because it is not always painful.

7/8

Unexplained weight loss

If you are trying to lose weight, it is good but if you experience unexplained weight loss and your thyroid is normal, time to visit an oncologist to rule out the possibility of stomach cancer.

8/8

Excessive gas

If you often suffer from bloating or gastric issues, it is important for you to get yourself tested for ovarian or colon cancer.
