Millionaire’s age reverse therapy goes wrong, says ‘you may not recognize me today’
Bryan Johnson, who is known for undergoing outlandish health treatments to age in reverse, talked about experiencing an undesired result during his recent experiment with 'longevity'. To his horror, his face got swollen up, after injecting another person’s fat into his face. The 47-year-old opened up about the therapy gone wrong via his social media handle and also stated that one ‘may not recognize’ him.
Bryan Johnson spoke about how he had questions such as, “Have any of your therapies gone wrong?” and “Are we the first generation who won’t die?” when she embarked on the ‘Project Blueprint’. He spoke about how he and his team evaluated ‘all the scientific literature on longevity and aging, stack ranking the best-performing health therapies with the most compelling evidence.’
Speaking about the therapy ‘Project Baby Face’ he underwent to bring facial fat, which is crucial to youthfulness, Johnson said, “We selected a first therapy: injecting a fat-derived extracellular matrix to restore volume by stimulating my body’s natural fat growth. It’s possible to use one’s own body fat for this but the problem was I didn’t have enough fat on my body to extract, so I used a donor. Immediately following the injections, my face began to blow up. And then it got worse, and worse, and worse until I couldn’t even see. It was a severe allergic reaction.”
He further spoke about how unrecognizable he recalled talking to a journalist about it. “. I called him and said, “Hey, so that you’re not alarmed, you may not recognize me today. I think I’m ok. I hope I’m ok. If I’m not ok, are you by chance trained to perform any life-saving actions?”
The millionaire confirmed that his face came back to normal after a week, “Seven days later my face was back to normal and we were back in the trenches reformulating plans for our next attempt.”
Previously the millionaire had claimed that he had the heart of a 37-year-old, the skin of a 28-year-old, the lung capacity of an 18-year-old, and the gums of a 17-year-old.
