DO NOT ignore these four warning signs of pancreatic cancer in the legs
Pancreatic cancer is the fourth leading cause of cancer deaths in the United States. The overall survival rate is only 6%, and it is rarely detected in its early stages when the chances of curing are the greatest. This is because there are often no symptoms in the early phase of this cancer. Though surgical resection is the only current option for a cure, only 20% of pancreatic cancer is surgically resectable at the time of diagnosis. So even the slightest signs should not be missed.
There are primarily two types of pancreatic cancer, exocrine tumours, and neuroendocrine tumours.
Pain, swelling, redness, and warmth in the legs may indicate pancreatic cancer. If you experience any of these signs in the leg, it is best to consult your doctor.
Pain: While having leg pain is common with people who have other health conditions, it is also a warning sign of pancreatic cancer to feel intense pain in the legs.
Swelling: Swelling of the leg is one sign you might not want to ignore. If you notice unexplained swelling suddenly, it is best to seek medical advice. Persistent or severe swelling may suggest a clot-related issue.
Redness: Redness or discoloration on the leg should be a concern. If the skin appears warm and flushed, along with pain, seek a doctor's opinion.
Warmth: Look for warmth around the area of swelling or redness. When this sign occurs, along with the other symptoms, a medical evaluation may be necessary.
However, the Cancer Society also cautions that "Having a blood clot does not usually mean that you have cancer. Most blood clots are caused by other things." Since pancreatic cancer often does not show early signs, it's always best to be sure that sorry.

Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can sometimes be the first sign of pancreatic cancer. People with pancreatic cancer are at higher risk of a blood clot forming in a vein. Part of the clot may break off and travel to the lungs, causing a blockage. This is called a pulmonary embolism (PE), which can be very serious. And the occurrence of these clots can appear in the leg.
