Here's why you need to consume Omega 3 daily

Omega 3 fatty acids are a group of polyunsaturated fatty acids that are vital for various bodily functions. Omega 3 fatty acid is naturally found in seafood including salmon, tuna and trout. There is a different type of omega 3 called ALA, which is found in some vegetables, soy and canola oil. It’s really important to consume Omega 3 as our body cannot make it on its own, unlike other fats.

When you don’t get enough DHA, which is a type of omega 3, vision problems may arise. Regular consumption of omega 3 is linked with reduced risk of macular degeneration, which can cause permanent eye damage.

ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) is a behavioural disorder which is characterized by impulsivity, hyperactivity and inattention.

Studies have found that kids with ADHD have lower levels of omega 3 as compared to their healthy peers. Other studies have found that omega 3 supplement can help reduce the symptoms of ADHD.
