Choose according to your personality!

Yoga has become a popular form of physical activity and has earned millions of followers across the globe. The low-impact exercise helps to correct posture, increase flexibility and strengthen your muscles. It is even beneficial in coping with the problem of sleeplessness, chronic pain and joint pain. But even so, if you feel that yoga is just not your thing, then maybe you have not tried the right one yet. There are different types of yoga and it is best to choose the one that perfectly syncs with your personality to gain maximum benefits.

For those who love challenges- Ashtanga Yoga

If you are someone who is always looking out for challenges and prefers some power packed fitness routine, then Ashtanga Yoga should be your pick. It is a high-impact activity in which you perform nonstop series of yoga poses. Altogether there are six different series of Asthanga, each one more difficult than the last one. This form of yoga is also known as power yoga, which should only be performed after mastering the basic poses. It takes years of practice and dedication to master this form.

For spiritual connection - Kundalini Yoga

If you love to move your body on beats then try Vinyasa yoga. Normally vinyasa classes are silent, but you can set music if you want. Vinyasa yoga, also known as Vinyasa flow, is a combination of a wide range of physical asanas that keep you moving continuously. There are a wide variety of asanas in this yoga, so you will never get bored.

For spiritual connection - Kundalini Yoga

If you are looking for a form of exercise that not only increases your flexibility and helps in building muscles but also connects with you spiritually then Kundalini yoga is the best choice. Kundalini yoga is very demanding and involves a lot of meditation, chanting, mudras and breathing exercises. The entire motive of this yoga is to release the Kundalini energy located at the bottom of the spine.

For relaxing your mind - Restorative Yoga

This style of yoga is for those wanting to relax. Restorative yoga is a gentler form of yoga that helps to calm your mind, stabilise your blood pressure and enhance your digestive health. Restorative yoga is also recommended for beginners as it is performed slowly.

For those looking to sweat it out - Bikram Yoga

Bikram yoga is a set of poses performed in a room heated to 41-degree centigrade and 40 per cent humidity. The yoga is performed in the heated chamber for 90-minutes, in which 26 basic postures are done twice, followed by two breathing exercises. The temperature of the room makes you sweat excessively and also removes toxins from the body. But before performing this form of yoga, you should consult your doctor.
