Exercise can boost your happy hormones

Exercise is an excellent way to improve your physical health and mental well-being. Exercise releases various hormones that can help elevate your mood and promote feelings of happiness. Here are some types of exercise that can boost your hormones and keep you happy:

2/6

Dancing:

Tom Arun, Fitness Expert, Cult.fit, says, “Dancing or attending a dance fitness class is my absolute favorite and recommendation. Dancing can help release endorphins and improve mood, while also providing a fun and social form of exercise.”

3/6

Cardiovascular exercise:

Activities such as running, cycling, swimming, or brisk walking can help release endorphins, which are natural mood-boosting chemicals that can help reduce stress and anxiety.

4/6

Strength training:

Resistance exercises such as weight lifting and bodyweight training can help increase levels of testosterone and growth hormone, which can help improve mood and reduce feelings of depression.

5/6

Yoga:

According to Arun, these mind-body exercises such as yoga can help reduce levels of cortisol, which is a stress hormone, and increase levels of serotonin, which can help improve mood and reduce anxiety.

6/6

Outdoor activities:

This is definitely my second favorite of all. Spending time in nature can also help boost your mood and reduce feelings of stress and anxiety. Activities such as hiking, biking, and swimming can help you get outside and reap the benefits of fresh air and natural surroundings.
Ultimately, the best type of exercise is the one that you enjoy and can stick to consistently over time. Incorporating a variety of different activities can help to keep things interesting and ensure that you're getting a balanced workout that benefits both your physical and mental health.
