What you should know now

New Year fitness resolutions have started materializing and people are taking concrete steps in the direction of health and fitness with regular workout regimen and new diets. With new diets being introduced every day, people are discarding their old fitness mantras in order to embrace newer ones. Today we bring to you four fitness trends that people will be making a part of their daily routines and the one diet that they will be ditching.

2/7

The diet that is out

Created more than hundred years ago as a treatment for epilepsy, the keto diet has been trending for several years. In recent times however, a declining trend has been seen in the popularity of this diet and search engines have shown a decrease in the same. One of the principal reasons for decline of the keto diet is the restricting nature of the diet that proscribes most carbohydrates, leaving little or no room for certain nutrient groups and putting one at the risk of deficiencies. A lot of people believe that they can cut out weight without restricting carbohydrates because of which keto's popularity is fading slowly.

Here's a look at diet trends that will dominate 2022

3/7

Home cooking

The past two years of the global pandemic have made cooking at home a necessity. During lockdowns and public restrictions, people were forced to stay indoors and manage without any restaurants or home delivery services which made cooking more of a family ritual than a chore. With the pandemic in its third year, this practice does not seem to be going anywhere in the year to come.

4/7

Intermittent fasting

With people finally realizing that intermittent fasting is less about not eating and more about eating within a specified window, more and more people are moving towards it. Even though it is mostly treated as a weight loss practice, its benefits go way beyond weight loss if the nutrients are focussed properly upon.

5/7

Drinking responsibly

Spirits, beers, seltzers, and cocktails are referred to as NoLos and are no-alcohol or lower alcohol drinks which have been preferred by consumers in the past year. Studies have shown that people are now becoming aware of their drinking practices and are moving towards better options of drinking that can lower their alcohol consumption.

6/7

An eco-friendly diet

Another name for a ‘flexitarian’ eating approach, reducetariansim focuses on an eco-friendly approach towards consumption. People practicing this diet mostly eat vegetarian food with occasional meats and poultry in their diet. Rather than giving up animal based products entirely, this diet focuses on eating meat occasionally and consuming sustainably raised animals and their products.

7/7

Anti-inflammatory foods for everyone

Choosing minimally processed foods is important to keep low grade chronic inflammation in check. More whole and minimally processed foods are now being embraced by people for a more sustainable and healthy lifestyle.

Thanks for this awesome article explaining the benefits of keto diet and the difference between clean and dirty keto. However, recently, through my research, I found out that it is possible to lose significant weight without dieting, exercise, or surgery. Infact, more than 27,000 people have succeeded using this method with excellent result. You may wish to find out more about it here: queststops.com/review/
